Pulse is a local event discovery platform for Brussels. This page explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can contact us about your data.

1. What data we collect

When you use Pulse, we may collect account information such as your email address, login provider, username, profile picture, public profile information, Instagram handle, submitted events, reactions, favorites, follows, messages, and event-related activity.

2. Google login

If you sign in with Google, Pulse uses your Google account only to authenticate you and create your Pulse account. We do not sell your account data.

3. Instagram connection

If you connect Instagram, Pulse may store your Instagram username and verification status. This is used to show visitors that the Instagram account linked to a profile is official or manually verified.

4. Submitted events

If you submit an event, we store the event details you provide, such as title, date, venue, description, image, URL, and contact details. Approved events may become visible on Pulse.

5. Public profile information

Your username, profile picture, verified Instagram handle, hosted events, and some public activity may be visible to other users depending on the features you use.

6. Messages and social features

Pulse may store messages, follows, reactions, favorites, and related social interactions in order to provide the app’s core features.

7. Uploaded images

If you upload profile or event images, they may be stored and displayed publicly where relevant. Do not upload images you do not have the right to use.

8. Service providers

Pulse uses third-party services such as Supabase for authentication, database, and storage, Vercel for hosting, and related tools needed to operate the website.

9. Data deletion

You can contact us if you want your account or submitted content removed. Some data may need to be retained temporarily for technical, security, or legal reasons.
