From Austerity to Resilience - How to Build a Better Economy

The key themes of the day will be finding the money for progressive policy goals, and how to manage potential inflationary side effects that may arise from ambitious fiscal policy. Modern Money Lab Europe are a newly formed Independent Association registered in France in february 2026. Our aim is to advance public knowledge and democratic debate on modern monetary and fiscal theory and policy within the European context. We are using this summer as a launchpad for our organisation. This includes us hosting several workshops in Europe, namely Stockholm and Brussels. This workshop (conducted in English) will be a combination of presentations led by Steven hail, associate professor at Torrens University, as well as participatory group discussions and real-world case studies.
