Pops of the Top
BRONKS
How often have you, as a parent, had to watch your offspring’s improvised playback performances? Before they can even walk, they already know Beyonce’s signature moves. Or they sing along phonetically to hits by the Sugababes. Why is something clearly aimed at a teenage audience already so irresistible for the littlest kids?Pops of the Top is a pop concert about extremes, and secretly also a history lesson about and ode to the classic girl band. We follow three pop stars in their attempt to look adult, harmonious and cool. But how do you do that, when your audience turns out to consist mostly of three-year-olds? What happens when reality doesn’t match what you had hoped or expected? And why does one person always have to go solo? About ups-and-downs, the best and the worst, tops and flops. A visual, humorous and musical performance with lots of potential hits, fuss, and a beginning, middle and end.
