The more I see you (The more I want you)
BRONKS
In The more I see you (The more I want you) we see a group of youngsters. They create portraits: first as individuals bracing themselves for a confrontation with the outside world, then as a group trying to define itself. The audience sees their selfies, stills and snapshots appear live. By their focus on details, the images reveal the relations between these young people, their secrets, desires, and everything else they would prefer to keep hidden. In this audiovisual, co-creative performance, seven youngsters, together with director and visual artist Charlotte Bouckaert, investigate how and why we take pictures. When do we decide to capture a moment? What happens just outside of the camera’s view? And what do we want to communicate (about ourselves) with the photos we take and share?
