That’s why we’re launching De Kleine Boterhammen: a modest alternative that gives young Dutch-speaking talent every opportunity in the meantime. From September 2026 to June 2027, on every last Thursday of the month, we will be organising a free noon concert in the newly renovated AB Salon. Everyone is welcome to come for lunch and enjoy some fine homegrown music at the same time. The focus is on young, fresh Dutch-language artists with whom we envision a further journey in the near future.Feel free to consider the concert of Floris Francis Arthur as a foretaste of De Kleine Boterhammen and expect even more top talent on the programme later in the year, including FULCO, Frans Kalf, Camilo Donoso and Michiel Libberecht solo (Mooneye).6:30 pm - 7:30 pmFloris Francis Arthur (band)Floris Francis Arthur (BE) is the solo project of Floris De Decker (Team William, The Van Jets, Intergalactic Lovers), backed live by a rock solid band featuring the likes of Jan Verstraeten, Vito, Pascal Deweze and Yong Yello.Floris Francis Arthur balances somewhere between darkness and euphoria with a unique blend of lo-fi Americana, dream pop and ‘90s indie rock. What began as intimate bedroom-folk on debut album There Never Is And Never Was A Masterplan, developed on second album Little Did I Know into a layered and powerful soundtrack that effortlessly made it into the year-end charts. In 2026, Floris Francis Arthur heads in a new direction with a third, Dutch-language album in which his cinematic sound further blossoms. Think: Gorki meets Big Thief. With the first Dutch-language single Hou Me Tegen – already on high rotation at Radio 1 – Floris Francis Arthur gives us a telling foretaste of what is to come. Expect melancholy, intensity and songs that linger in your head.Successor Wolfje was immediately highly praised by De Standaard. “The freshest Dutch-language pop song we’ve heard in ages. If we were to give stars for singles, this would have been a ***** review.” And also: “Hallelujah! Luc De Vos has risen.”
