L'Antidote

Can beauty save the world? It may sound like a bold idea, but for L’Antidote it lies at the very heart of their musical vision. With Lebanese pianist Rami Khalifé, Albanian cellist Redi Hasa, and Iranian percussionist Bijan Chemirani, the trio brings together three musicians, each carrying their own tradition and distinct voice. By listening closely to one another, they create poetic, meditative soundscapes in which silence and space are as important as melody and rhythm. Together, they reach out to one another in search of a universal sound that does not erase their differences, but allows them to merge into a rich and hopeful whole. Between stillness and dancing trance, L’Antidote finds healing sounds as an antidote in an unsettled world.
