Matthias Van den Brande Quartet

The trio of Matthias Van den Brande, featuring Tijs Klaassen on double bass and Wouter Kühne on drums, has established itself since 2021 as one of the most striking ensembles on the European jazz scene. Awarded in Ghent and Avignon, the trio has performed more than sixty concerts across Europe and released two albums that have been warmly praised by the press.For this new creation, presented as a premiere, Matthias Van den Brande expands his musical universe by inviting a major figure of the European piano scene: Bram De Looze. A musician of reference, renowned for his singular approach and the depth of his musical language, he joins the trio to form a new quartet with expanded colours, where lyricism, interplay and freedom take on a new dimension.
