Gotu Jim

Amsterdam-based rapper with a bittersweet mix of house, trap, and emo Dutch rapper Gotu Jim—loosely translated from Sranang as “Golden Jim”—broke through in 2018 with the short but powerful track “Tweede Klas Shit.” He was signed by Abel and Faberyayo to their record label Burning Fik, and ever since, everything Gotu Jim touches turns to gold. Tracks like “Misschien (Kwijt)” have become festival staples, and in the meantime, he’s been bringing the house down in venues across the Netherlands and Belgium. This summer, he performed in front of a packed tent at Lowlands, while his recent single “Afterparty” has already racked up over 1.5 million streams.
