Following on from 2023’s Le Cri du Bombyx [The Cry of the Silk Moth], in which she managed the technical aspects on stage, Camille Granger is continuing this thread – or rather, this structure. Truss is the name of those metal lattice beams that usually support the lighting and stage equipment. With this new creation at the intersection of dance and installation, Camille Granger turns the set inside out to reveal what usually remains hidden: the machinery, the rigging, the wings, everything that goes on behind the curtain. The artist-technicians manipulate these metal structures and, through their assured movements, perform a choreography of construction. The act of assembly becomes a precise ballet of beams that come together, move, and hang suspended. Like a dizzying reversal, the machinery emerges from the shadows and becomes the star of the show. Five solidarity tickets at €5 will be set aside for each performance of performing arts projects (with some exceptions).
