Finale
BRONKS
Something has stalled.Something is broken. When something's broken, you can't play with it anymore.Or perhaps you could play with the pieces. But they're often sharp and might hurt you.So you're not allowed to.Many things break down.Lights. Faucets. Trousers. Winter coats.People, too.People also break down.People even get so broken that they'll die.And then they must go.Not in a regular bin, of course, like lights and faucets and winter coats. But they do go.Never to return. And that is really, really sad. That they never return?Unfathomable. And unfair. And rotten. Damn, fuck, shit. Sorry about those gross words. You aren't allowed to say these out loud. But they do express how it feels.Finale is compagnie barbarie's performance about finitude and transience. And, to utter the big word, about death. After the performance Première, in which everything has yet to begin, we will now be talking about the moment when everything is over. What is an end? When is it really ending? And what does it really mean to die?Finale will be an intimate performance with lots of bits and pieces that do not hold together anymore. A performance that makes you realise dying means never coming back. And that it's okay to feel whatever you feel about that.Shit, yes. Fuck.Pardon me.
