Open Day at the Federal Parliament

Discover the Chamber of Representatives and the Senate during a self-guided tour at your own pace. Explore the historic chambers and the two plenary rooms that are the heart of our democracy and Belgian political life with the help of a free information leaflet. There will be activities for young and old alike, and staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have. The countdown has begun! As every year, the Federal Parliament will open its doors to the public to celebrate National Day on July 21st. Take a self-guided tour at your own pace, armed with an information leaflet, and discover rooms steeped in history, as well as the plenary chambers of the House of Representatives and the Senate – the very heart of Belgian politics. This year, the Belgian flag takes center stage, with the original 1830 flag (courtesy of the War Heritage Institute), works from our own collection, and pieces by Claire Boedts and Rob Vanoudenhoven.
