To celebrate the inauguration of the Cultural Forum Brussels in the new Österreich-Haus, Arnold Schönberg's Coalition Chess will be presented with a new. creative spin. Real people serving as chess pieces will be filling up Schönbergs four-player chess board – a performative ode to thinking strategically, chess, diplomacy, Europe and of course art. Languages: English/German. To celebrate the inauguration of the Cultural Forum Brussels in the new Österreich-Haus, Arnold Schönberg's Coalition Chess will be presented with a new. creative spin. Real people serving as chess pieces will be filling up Schönbergs four-player chess board – a performative ode to thinking strategically, chess, diplomacy, Europe and of course art. In addition to the chess game, a series of interactive QR codes allow the public to access different interviews, all offering new and varied perspectives on chess, diplomacy, art, and how all these facets are linked together. To top it all off, the whole experience is enriched by a musical intervention by trumpeter Franz Hautzinger and a contemporary dance performance. Event open to all, no prior chess knowledge requiered! Registration mandatory. The event will take place in English and German.
