From Warda to Oum Kalthoum, from Fairuz to Haifa Wehbe, with influences from Sajida Obeid, Gazelle L’Hafla moves between tarab, chaabi and pop, between nostalgia and club energy. Familiar sounds are reworked, stretched and reimagined on stage. It is a space where Arab cultural references are neither softened nor translated, but fully embraced in all their complexity. Tender, exuberant, political and playful. A cabaret that holds contradictions and creates room for them.
