Q.A.B.U. Quantic Antics of the Borderless Underground
Rue du Fort 5, 1060 Saint-Gilles
Quantics Antics of the Borderless Underground (QABU) is a fictional exploration of resistance from humans and more-than-humans to the (in)visible forms of violence that we call ’borders’. Opening installation: Thursday 21-05-2026 from 18:00 to 21:00 Violence and resistance exist side by side. For violence to reproduce and go undetected, it must be justified and normalized, and for resistance to bloom, it must be groomed out of sight. Yet, making something invisible and becoming invisible tells two completely different stories. Quantics Antics of the Borderless Underground (QABU) is a fictional exploration of resistance from humans and more-than-humans to the (in)visible forms of violence that we call ’borders’. Borders are everywhere, grow in all directions, and so does resistance, spreading through city networks beneath our feet, hidden in plain sight, and materialzing in the most unexpected creatures and places. Through drawings and field recordings, this installation in Constant’s window depicts possible elsewheres and elsewhens to denounce the colonial legacy of border narratives and instigate the social imagination against structural inequality.
