Brussels, the most beautiful gateway to Europe: a stroll around the European Parliament will give us a glimpse into the history of the Berlaimont, the “Caprice des dieux,” and Leopold Park, a veritable Pandora’s box of neighborhood life. Brussels, Gateway to Europe Guided Walk Through the European Quarter When people think of Europe in Brussels, they often picture the major institutions. Yet the European Quarter is much more than a political hub: it is a unique urban landscape where the city’s history intersects with that of the European project. Our itinerary begins at Schuman, taking us around the European Parliament, in the heart of a neighborhood where MEPs, civil servants, students, and residents all cross paths. Amid contemporary glass-and-steel buildings and remnants of a rural past, Brussels reveals one of its most fascinating (and controversial) urban transformations. The walk will also take us into the heart of Leopold Park, the neighborhood’s true green lung and a Pandora’s box of diverse life. This tour will help you understand how Europe has taken root in the Belgian capital and how this presence has profoundly transformed architecture, daily life, and identity. A walk to discover Europe as it is experienced in Brussels, at the intersection of history, the city, and political projects. Fancy some fries together to chat about it at Antoine’s? Monday: 17h30-19h00 (in English) Friday: 17h30-19h00 (in French) €15 per person (Fries and drinks not included!)
